We've been in the tile business a long time. We started as a little family-run business in
Williamstown over 40 years ago and have grown into one of Melbourne's largest wholesalers and
retailers of tiles and tiling products.
In 1990 we moved to an enormous showroom in Hoppers Crossing,
the site of our current store, and we've been there ever since. Hynes Tiles and our related
businesses now employ over 60 people, including showroom consultants, design specialists, product
innovators, warehouse foremen and delivery drivers.
In recent years we've won a stack of awards for our service. For four years running our staff has won
the Australian Tile Council's award for Employee of the Year.
We've been Highly Recommended in the
Australian Achiever Awards in 2003 and 2004 for Dedication and Excellence in Customer Service.
We also won our local council's (Wyndham) coveted award for Best Medium-sized Retailer in 2004.
For us, this is proof of our commitment to excellent service provided by our qualified and cheerful
people.
During our time in Hoppers Crossing we've watched the area grow and grow. We're proud to say
that we're now serving the sons and daughters of the people that came in to our store all those years ago.
And we plan to serve their children and their children's children, all with our strong focus on good people,
great service and quality product.
